TURBOMIXER GTB-165

The Turbomixer is an essential piece of equipment in tanneries throughout the world. It is used for wet processing of all types of skins and hides (cattle, pig, goat, lamb, etc.) such as soaking, liming, pickling/tanning, dyeing, and fat-liquoring, etc…as well as for the preservation of green hides and skins by salting or immersion in saline solutions. Drums are also used for producing collagen and gelatin.
The cylindrical drum is manufactured entirely in stainless steel (Aisi 316L), which has been specially designed to withstand chemical corrosion which tanning processes can cause. The interior of the drum is fitted with specially designed and angled blades that ensure uniform movement with a smooth, continuous action.
The stainless steel drum is mounted on a metal frame fitted with the front and rear rotating gears, the recycling system, and part of the main drive equipment, the whole thus forming an integral body.
Loading is easily and quickly effected through the drum front feeder mouth either manually or using pneumatic transport systems. (A loading ramp can also be included as an OPTION). Unloading is effected by running the drum in reserve which enables the drum to be either totally or partially emptied in a short space of time. The contents can be observed throughout the process through the open mouth of the mixer.
Water consumption can be reduced by up to 60% and the saving on chemical products can be up to 30%. The processing times can also be considerably shortened in comparison with other traditional systems.
